The Saudi Health Council has signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Secretariat of the Senior Scientists ' Authority to enhance cooperation in the consultative, organizational and scientific aspects and to provide legal advice on medical and ethical issues and medical facilities. The Senior Scientists ' College represented the signing of the memorandum of understanding; Sheikh Dr. Fahd Bin Saad Al-Majed, Secretary-General of the Authority; and the Saudi Health Council Dr. Nahar Bin Mazzaki, Secretary-General of the Council, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council.

The purpose of the memorandum is to compile and prepare an indicative code of issues in which decisions or opinions on forensic medical issues have been issued and continuously updated, and to make it available in accordance with specific procedural regulations, as well as to prepare scientific programmes and open meetings with medical personnel, aimed at promoting legitimate awareness of the ethics of health practice and the handling of cases and hostilities with a moral dimension.

The memorandum is an extension of the Saudi Health Council ' s efforts to study medical issues and to nominate members of specialized committees in this regard. The Council is a medical and technical reference for medical consultations.
