The Saudi Health Council participates in the World Health Forum 2023

Launching of the Health Research and Studies Portal "NahrSab"
The Secretary-General of the Saudi Health Council, Dr. Nahar Bin Moski Al-Azmi (on Monday), launched the "Sab River" Health Research and Studies Portal, which facilitates access to data for research purposes in the health sector. His Excellency also launched the Training Program for the Prevention of Cardiology and Arteries, in the presence of the directors of the national centers in the special wing of the Council participating in the effectiveness of the World Health Forum and the accompanying exhibition "Invest in Health" in the Riyadh façade of exhibitions and conferences.
The "NahrSap" platform, established by the Saudi Health Council, supports and facilitates the conduct of health studies and research and makes it more responsive in decision-making to meet health challenges through the safe, rapid and effective recycling of research data and the organization of access to and use of such data for researchers and research agencies in accordance with the policies and procedures governing it, which conform to ethical standards and intellectual protection systems. The portal aims to make maximum use of data collected for research purposes or strategic studies. It is a product of the best efforts and partnership between the Saudi Health Council and a number of actors, including the King Abdul Aziz City of Science and Technology, the Public Authority for Food and Medicine, and the Saudi Authority for Health Specialists.
The training program for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and the strengthening of arteries is also aimed at raising the knowledge level of doctors about the factors that cause cardiovascular diseases and arterial rigidity, promoting public health and contributing to the improvement of their quality of life, as well as following the best global methods and practices for the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.
The Saudi Health Council participates in the World Health Forum in a number of programs, projects and e-health platforms that contribute to improving the quality of health services in the Kingdom in line with the Kingdom vision and future objectives. These include the project on the unified health file, which helps to facilitate the access of individuals to health services. It combines the results of medical examinations, diagnostic radiation, health insurance, family file, therapeutic history, prescription and vaccinations.
In the same context, the Council reviewed during the Forum the National Autism Spectrum Disruption Survey Policy, which was adopted from the noble title of duty to all health sectors in the Kingdom and which provides primary health care or family and community medicine services.
During the meeting, the Council presented the draft national framework for measuring the performance of the health system in the Kingdom. The framework included a list of priority indicators with an identification file for each indicator containing definitions and reporting mechanisms to measure performance comprehensively and accurately.
The Council participated in the World Health Forum in a number of electronic platforms, including the interactive platform of the Saudi Oncology Registry (SCR Dashboard) concerning the publication of the Saudi Oncology Register reports, the presentation of accurate statistics on the numbers and rates of cancer and geographical distribution of cases from 1994 to 2020, and the review of the Council during the Forum; and the electronic issuance of sick leave by linking with the relevant authorities, where the service automates the procedures between the agencies in a complementary manner, allowing the service provider to issue and participate electronically.
The Board also reviewed the project to develop and automate the basic health records of the National Health Information Centre; the patient register containing the basic patient data; and the practitioners register containing the health practitioners data, as well as the facility register containing the basic information of the facilities.
The Council introduced the National System for the Measurement of Growth and Digital Health in Health Enterprises "Sima" which aims to establish a framework for measuring the level of digital maturity across various types of facilities in the Kingdom and to measure its adoption of digital health techniques that support operations at care points.
The meeting saw the signing by the Saudi Health Council of 18 memorandums of understanding with a number of governmental and related bodies to strengthen the linkage of the consolidated health file and to facilitate patient procedures within health facilities.​
