The Kingdom has taken great care of human safety and health.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has experienced continuous development in all sectors since its unification until this time, which has witnessed a significant record of achievements at all levels, including the health sector, to which the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, have attached great importance and unlimited support to all matters relating to human safety and health. All of these achievements would have been achieved only through this constant interest in wise leadership; in the development of health services and the enhancement of their efficiency and accessibility.Further to this concern for the health of citizens and the health sector in the Kingdom, and contributing to the improvement and enhancement of the quality of health-care services, the Saudi Health Council has issued several important resolutions for the development of the health system, which have had a significant impact on the coordination and integration of health care in the Kingdom. The Council has achieved many achievements and national programs, which have had an impact on the development of the health system, the promotion of prevention of health risks and the quality of life, and the qualitative transformation that has taken place in line with the national vision 2030.

Among the most important decisions of the Saudi Health Council in this regard; the approval by the Council of Ministers of the national policy for the national survey of autism spectrum disorders; the approval by the Council of Ministers of controls to allow government health practitioners to work in the private sector outside official hours under specific controls; the approval by the Council of Ministers of the inclusion of certain categories of non-doctors and dentists in compulsory cooperative insurance against medical occupational errors; the approval of the recruitment of doctors admitted to Saudi fellowship programs for vacant official posts; the establishment of the National Centre for Disease Control, which was subsequently decided by the Council of Ministers to be transferred to the Public Health Authority; the adoption of a health platform as a unified platform for medical reports and their exchange between health sectors and relevant authorities; the mandatory application of the health marriage programme to avoid genetic or infectious diseases between spouses; the establishment of a regulation to facilitate access to the services of the air medical transport program; and the obligation of all hospitals not to reject cases of cardiacs transmitted by the Red Crescent.

Saudi Arabia has the necessary resources to deal with cardiac clots and to adopt the draft national plan for the development of quality and safety of patients.

The Saudi Health Council has also issued a number of important decisions for the development of the health system in the Kingdom, including the obligation of the State and private health sectors to implement the program for the early examination of newborns. Several decisions have been issued to regulate the work of the National Company for the Uniform Purchase of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Supplies (Nobuco), to approve a balanced distribution platform for health services and facilities in the Kingdom in order to harmonize with existing health projects, to establish treatment services for patients with acute leukemia, to issue a decision on the cultivation of the shell and to define its requirements.
The Saudi Arabian health system had passed through historic stages and a long journey; it began before the unification of the Kingdom in 1926, when King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud-Rahmalah established the Department of Health. In 1926-1927, the first nursing school of the School of Health and Emergency was opened. In 1928, the Directorate of Health and Emergency Services was established. The Ministry of Health was established in 1951. In 1980, a ministerial decree was issued, "Health Centres, Integration of Existing Pharmacies, Health Offices and Maternal and Child Health Centres (MCH) into a single unit," followed by the formulation of medical and dental policies in 1989, and Saudi Arabia declared polio eradication in 1995. In 2002, the Saudi health system was established by royal decree. In 2015, the National Transformation Plan for Vision 2030 was drawn up.
This historical development of health services in the Kingdom has resulted in the establishment of the Saudi Centre for the Safety of Patients, the Holding Health Company, the National Health Insurance Centre, the National Health Research Institute and the Public Health Authority.
In this connection, the Secretary-General of the Saudi Health Council, Dr. Nahar Bin Mizaki Al-Azmi, conveyed the highest congratulations and congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister and His Majesty Protector of God, on the occasion of the ninety-third national day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
