Mission:
1. Develop national health policies based on evidence and principles of economic management to raise the efficiency of the Saudi health system’s performance in accordance with the Kingdom’s vision.
2. Preparing, evaluating and amending operational plans for the healthcare strategy in the Kingdom in cooperation with all relevant sectors and entities.
General Objectives:
The General Directorate of National Health Economics and Policies aims to:
1. Identify the factors affecting the distribution and provision of high-quality health services, taking into account the optimal use of resources in the Saudi health care system.
2. Implementing health care strategic projects and programs in the Kingdom.
3. Formulating national policies and implementation plans.
4. Promoting professional health care practice in the public and private health sectors. 5. Submit recommendations and results of projects and initiatives to decision makers.
