The Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) undertakes the task of assisting and supporting healthcare facilities such as hospitals, laboratories, blood banks, polyclinics, and other outpatient medical centers in excelling at providing effective healthcare services that are the safest, highest in quality, and best in value. We do this through the execution of our assigned tasks.

We establish and update unified performance standards for all healthcare facilities operating in the Kingdom.
• Support and Preparation
We contribute to preparing healthcare facilities to implement accreditation standards and continuously maintain compliance through our training, educational, and consultancy services.
• Evaluation and Accreditation
We evaluate and accredit all healthcare facilities through field visits conducted by professional evaluators.
• Performance Monitoring
We monitor the performance of healthcare facilities to ensure their continuous adherence to accreditation standards and key performance indicators outlined in those standards.
• Recruitment and Training of Evaluators
We are passionate about recruiting and training qualified evaluators to carry out evaluation visits.
• Research
We conduct research related to healthcare quality and best practices in patient safety, in collaboration with all relevant entities.
• Representing the Kingdom
We represent the Kingdom in important events related to healthcare accreditation locally, regionally, and globally, including quality and patient safety forums. We also collaborate and share expertise with international healthcare accreditation agencies and organizations.
