About the committee

​Saudi Health Council Resolution No. (4/95) dated 02/05/144​3 AH approving the establishment of a permanent national committee for dentistry in the Saudi Health Council. With the following tasks:

• Reviewing legislation and regulations related to dentistry, proposing amendments to them, and introducing what is necessary when needed.
• Preparing national dental policies and standards.
• Proposing clinical practice guides in the field of​ dentistry.
• Prepare a unified medical coding for dental operations and procedures.
• Develop a unified database for dentistry.
• Proposing preventive and educational programs directed to the community in the field of dentistry, and reviewing and updating them periodically.
• Study health programs, projects, and strategies related to dentistry that are submitted to the committee from different sectors.
• Study topics related to dentistry referred to it by the General Secretariat and the Health Council.
• Any other tasks added to the committee in its field of specialization.​
