About the committee

Reference to Saudi Health Council Resolution No. (5/95) dated 02/05/1443 AH, which included approval for the establishment of a permanent national committee for medical rehabilitation in the Saudi Health Council with the following tasks:

• Developing the necessary legislation to practice m​edical rehabilitation services and providing suggestions, studies, and scientific and technical advice regarding medical rehabilitation in its various specialties.
• Reviewing the legislation and regulations related to scientific and health medical rehabilitation and proposing their amendment.
• Preparing national health policies and standards and proposing procedural and technical rules in the field of medical rehabilitation.
• Developing the health aspect of the National Disability Register.
• Propose health programs and projects with medical rehabilitation after being studied by the committee.
• Supporting research programs and setting priorities in the areas of medical rehabilitation.
• Any other tasks added to the committee in the areas of disability and medical rehabilitation.​
