Saudi Health Council Resolution No. (2/91), dated 02/03/1442 AH, stipulating the establishment of a permanent committee called the National Committee for Health Ethics, to undertake the following tasks: 

1. Study emerging medical issues and propose ethics related to them. 

2. Proposing regulations and policies related to​ medical ethics. 

3. Proposing the organization of the work of ethical advisory councils for health service providers. 

​4. Providing scientific advice to beneficiaries.​​
