1. Draft comprehensive national strategy to combat diabetes, 
The draft national strategy aims to develop a strategic plan to combat and control diabetes in the Kingdom and develop an executive plan for its application and follow-up at the national level.

2. Draft laws, regulations, programs and legislation in the field of health promotion and diabetes control
The draft laws, regulations and legislation in the field of health promotion and diabetes control collects and studies the current status of the laws and regulations related to diabetes applied in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and studies the laws and regulations applied in the developed country to develop a plan to bridge the gaps, if any, and a plan to activate the laws and regulations.

3. Clinical guidelines for diabetes based on scientific facts and evidence
The Guidelines Project provides standardized, evidence-based national up-to-date clinical medical information, helping diabetic health care providers make the best health decisions and practices to deal with the health condition.

4. Studies and research project in the field of health promotion, prevention and treatment of diabetes and extracting the necessary evidence
The project aims to provide the scientific base and benefit based on recent evidence, to help all those working in the field of diabetes to know the latest scientific findings. By collecting studies and research published at the level of the Kingdom specialized in diabetes and works to identify priorities for studies and research in topics as needed and make them available to researchers in the field of diabetes.

5. Project to establish the National Diabetes Registry
It aims to create a comprehensive national database for all cases of diabetes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that collects and inventories information through an automated program linked to all health sectors, as it is based on registering cases of diabetes throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and entering the necessary data.

6. Setting standards for diabetes units and centers
This project aims to set standards for diabetes treatment units and centers in terms of infrastructure, equipment for diabetes treatment units and centers, the workforce, their qualifications and training in order to improve the health services provided to diabetes patients and lay the foundations for evaluating the health services provided to diabetes patients.

7. National Research Project
A national community survey of diabetes of all different types in all age groups in terms of prevalence, annual incidence rate, risk factors leading to it, its complications, the potential social and financial burden due to infection and obstacles to controlling it.  

8. Create an electronic application for diabetes for health practitioners and the community
An electronic application that serves all groups concerned with diabetes, including patients, their families and health practitioners, as the application relies on artificial intelligence to accompany the patient throughout the day, collects information related to his diabetes status and provides him with reference to the disease guide, and the application also provides health practitioners with follow-up of their patients with diabetes and provides them with national guidelines.

9. Establish a year-round scheduled national agenda to raise awareness about diabetes and risk factors and standardize information and share it with health sectors
Establishing a scheduled national agenda throughout the year on diabetes and risk factors in cooperation and unifying the efforts exerted by the concerned authorities to establish awareness campaigns and publish programs in support of reducing the incidence of diabetes through the arrangement, collection and classification of these programs and awareness campaigns.

10. Statistical System of Diabetes Centers and Units
It is a database consisting of information related to the resources of diabetes centers in the various health sectors and the most important indicators of their services in the Kingdom in a regular electronic way to help planners in the various health sectors to improve the coverage of diabetes services for needy areas and in the fairness of distribution and optimal use of the services available in the various health sectors, and to provide a database that helps improve diabetes services in the Kingdom.

11. Preparing training courses and workshops for doctors, health practitioners and people with diabetes
Conducting training programs for diabetes educators to educate and train health practitioners in everything related to health education for diabetes and a program for leaders, which is for directors and heads of centers, departments and units for diabetes.

12. Diabetes Early Detection Project
The project is based on enhancing the prevention of diabetes and its complications, by identifying risk factors that increase the likelihood of developing it, as the program detects cases at risk of diabetes and its complications and intervenes to prevent or delay its occurrence, and the project also helps to reduce the economic burdens by reducing the rates of type II diabetes and its complications.

13. Saudi Diabetes Network
The Diabetes Network brings together the directors of diabetes centers at the national level to facilitate the exchange of expertise and experiences and raise topics of interest to this sector for discussion between the directors of diabetes centers and specialists at the National Diabetes Center at the Saudi Health Council and collect opinions and recommendations and work to achieve them with the sectors.
