The Royal Approval No. 7/1561/M dated 19/5/1404 AH was issued to establish the National Kidney Center, to be supervised by a committee from all health sectors in the Kingdom. To be the beginning of a new stage in organizing the treatment of patients with kidney failure, equipping dialysis units, organizing the practice of kidney transplantation from living relatives and starting the donation program after brain death, and the establishment of the National Kidney Center had an impact on accelerating the establishment of dialysis centers in the Kingdom and then converting the National Kidney Center into the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation.
To be a distinguished institution in the field of medical and social care for organ donation and transplantation in accordance with international quality standards and the ethics of medical practice and Sharia in this field.
The Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation seeks to alleviate the suffering of patients with terminal organ failure by providing vital organs in order to save them - God willing - believing in the principle of social solidarity and altruism by organ donation (during life or after death).
